From whence does brilliance come and how is it harnessed? Visions like this are surely as old as time and transcend the consciousness of mere mortals. Some trace the roots back to 301 S. College... others to a chance encounter at Alta in 2010. While the advent of SKIBITDA remains a mystery, its reality is as rewarding as a post-ski day IPA.
Fund One was a massive success, admittedly benefiting from the tailwinds of record snow fall in Big Cottonwood Canyon. So, while the c. 2023 vintage certainly helped, our value-add playbook produced results that outperformed the market - from AC sourcing off-market parking in an oversubscribed auction to JD winning the hearts and minds of legacy owner-operators.
Fund Two will be an opportunistic vehicle to find and create value in, what many see, as a less frothy environment. While snow, like covenant-lite max-leverage, is harder to find 2024 vintages, we are not deterred. This year, to accommodate new investor demand, we have secured a primary home base via a four queen condo at The Lodge at Snowbird and a two queen out-post at the Cliff Lodge. Both are within walking distance, connected by a raised and covered walkway. The dual lodging will provide unique access to a board array of amenities across two of Snowbird’s premium properties.
The Lodge at Snowbird offers a variety of condominium accommodations located within short walking distance of the Snowbird Center and Tram. Snowbird’s original lodge features an outdoor swimming pool and hot tub, steam room, restaurant and lounge, fitness center and 2 meeting rooms.
Our accommodations will include a Mountainview Condo with Loft, including four queens plus a sleeper sofa, a balcony, 3 full baths, a gas fireplace and a fully furnished kitchen. Ski lockers are available for guests at The Lodge. Additional rooms are available if needed.
The Lodge Bistro, located on the pool level of the hotel, serves French/American cuisine, wine, draft beers and liquors.
